Zoomed out - you can see a number of the modifications I made to the stock design. Engine guards protect the crankcase in the event of an accidental tipper, supplemental lighting provide much needed conspicuity, and Cee-Baileys windshield provides wind protection. Below, I zoom in to see more details and more add-ons.
BMW-branded tank bag, system side cases, and large top case provide critical storage space for all journeys, near and far!
The commander center includes:
RAM mount for holding my iPhone (which duals as a GPS and route tracker) (see Product Reviews for details on critical navigation apps),
RAM ball mount for the 360Fly video camera (see the Product Reviews page for more details),
Cee-Baileys large windshield to defend against wind and over-sized NJ insects.
This is a close up of the rear tire and the MachineArt Moto Mudsling that protects the aft section of the engine and other critical parts from road debris and tar.
Anyone who rides BMWs knows stock seats are terrible. Maybe Germans don't value their bums. But I do. So, I purchased a custom-made, heated Bill Mayer Saddle seat. With its wider seat range, I can easily ride twice as far with half the discomfort... a must have for all riders.
In the foreground, I added Wunderlich Carbon Fiber Tank Pads to protect the gas tank from scratches. In the background, I installed Touratech Offset Bar Risers, which added much-needed improvement to my riding position.
From right to left, you can see the Throttle Crampbuster, Touratech Grip Cover, and 360Fly video camera and RAM Mount.
Rear lights matter too! On each side of the license plate, I installed auxiliary running/ brake lights. Under the license plate, I added the AdMore Light Bar (see my Product Reviews page for more details).
I installed a Cee Bailey Headlight Protector, which helps defend the very expensive headlight from high-speed rocks and other solid objects that can fly in my direction.

Details matter! Here I added a Touratech Oil Cooler Guard and a Nippy Norman Fenda Extenda to prevent tar, bugs, and debris from spattering on the oil cooler and front of the engine.
I installed a 4-pack of Dynamic Motorrad LED turn signal lights. Here's a comparison of the two - OEM on the left, LEDs on the right.
HVMP's solid black-finish bar ends add weight to the handlebars to reduce vibrations. They weigh and extend approximately twice as much the stock version.
With this full view of the Cee-Bailey's 19" Clear Touring Windshield, you can see the curved shape... and final resting place for hundreds of insects.
Lights! A motorcycle cannot have enough lights. Most importantly, illumination increases the critical visibility of motorcyclists. I've added Motolights (in brushed nickel casing) and Trail Tech Equinox Billet LED Lights (in black) mounted on the engine guards.
An accessories now run through the Rowe Power Distribution Module, which then provides a single connection to the battery. While fully programmable, the PDM's program functions are not simple to figure out.
With the Adaptiv radar detector, I hope to avoid any speeding fees while on the road. With 5 simple to use buttons, the device is breeze to use. It detects all of the law enforcement's current signals, including laser.
