IN, IL, KY, MO - Day 4

Twenty miles into the day’s ride, my bike stalled again, this time in the middle of interstate traffic. After refueling, the bike still sounded terrible, so I stopped for breakfast to collect my thoughts. I called the Indy dealership, but they needed several days to work on it. I began heading back to the dealer when, suddenly, the bike loosened up and ran sweetly again. Since the Indy dealership couldn’t work on my bike, I decided to march forward and continued the trip to Poplar Bluff, MO.

For the rest of the day, the engine was perfect—no stalls, no hesitation, nothing but solid, delightful machinery. 🏍️✨

During this segment of the ride, I saw Kentucky for the first time. Filled with hills, long sweepers, and peaceful farmlands, the western part of the state made me smile the whole time. 😃🌾

I stopped on the side of a quiet road to remove layers (as the temperatures were increasing), drink water, and take pictures. The peaceful silence gave me a few minutes to relish life and savor the moment. 🌞📸🚴‍♂️

Flooded plains continued to pepper the midwest landscape.

Kentucky introduced warmer temperatures, peaceful landscapes, and quiet farmlands.  This spot was perfect for reflecting on the day, hydrating, and removing a warm layer.
