NYC International Motorcycle Show 🏍️✨

With temperatures marginally ridable in the mid-30s, I was warm and cozy inside the Jacob Javitz Center in NYC, home of the International Motorcycle Show (IMS) for this weekend. 🗽🌡️

Featuring Harley-Davidson, BMW, Ducati, Indian, and many others, the usual motorcycle makers peppered the show with their latest models of rides and related technology. BMW paired a virtual-reality riding experience with a BMW S1000RR, which proved to be a fan favorite. Also, Max BMW displayed and discussed the workings of a gutted engine and transmission. 🏍️🕶️

While the masses crowded inactive machines and imagined what riding them would be like, I focused my time and energy on the smaller vendors. Lining the circumference of the show floor, a treasure trove of vendors strutted their innovative solutions to common problems. For me, this is where the show comes to life. 💡🔧

It's here that I learned about a non-for-profit based in Long Island, NY that promotes increased rider situational awareness through on-street training, an awesome sharable routing app, tour operators in Australia, South America, and Africa, and a Southern California-based heated gear company (oh, the irony). 🌍🔥

While making new friends, I worked on building up an inventory of products for future testing and building connections to the shakers and movers in our favorite sport. Look for more product reviews and discussions to follow... 🤝📦

Cheers to new adventures! 🏍️✨
